About Us
PURPOSE__________________________________________________
The Undergraduate Management Consulting Association (UMCA) seeks to inform students, and create interest for careers in consulting. UMCA helps students prepare for careers in consulting by providing extracurricular education, training, and exposure to consulting.
WHAT WE DO_______________________________________________
- Business Career Fair - UMCA has for years been responsible for planning the annual career fair which 100 employers and several thousand students attend.
- Global Business Brigades (GBB) - We are responsible for leading an annual brigade to Panama to consult micro-enterprises. This year 27 students will travel to consult a small cooperative farm.
- Weekly Speakers and Workshops - Like all business clubs at Foster we bring in weekly speakers from companies in our area of focus. Unlike every club, we ask our speakers to engage our members in a case analysis which better prepares our members for real jobs.
- Networking - Retreats, banquets, mixers and other social events allow our members to network with other business students, employers and alumni.
- Leadership - Numerous officer and committee positions allow for leadership development.
